Wednesday-Sunday: 10 a.m.-6 p.m.
Monday & Tuesday: CLOSED

Wednesday, Sept. 1:

10 a.m. - 6 p.m.

  • 10 a.m. - Noon: Only Middle and baby pool will be open
  • Noon - 3 p.m.: Only Middle, Baby and Top pool open
  • 3 - 6 p.m.: All four pools will be open.

Thursday, Sept. 2:

10 a.m. - 6 p.m.

  • 10 a.m. - 3 p.m.: Only Middle and Baby Pool open
  • 3 - 6 p.m.: All four pools will be open.



Below are the new modified operations at the NRC Aquatics complex for the last week of the season.  The facility will be open, but with limited pools open.

The Riverside Aquatics Complex includes four swimming pools: two 25-meter pools (5’ depth or less), a wading pool for infants and toddlers, and a diving pool with a 1.5 meter dive board and 2 water powered slides. The bathhouse is equipped with restrooms and showers. Cool off from the hot summer sun sliding down our water powered, double loop spiral slide!

Children nine years of age and younger must be accompanied by an eligible adult patron age 18 or older. Children ages 10-15 must be accompanied by an eligible patron age 16 or older.

Patrons age 16 or older may use the pool unaccompanied. Lifeguards are on duty during operation. U.S.. Coast Guard approved personal floatation devices (PFDs) are permitted, but not provided. There will be a 10 minute swim break every hour in weather 90 degrees or hotter.

Eating is permitted in designated areas, but no alcohol or glass containers are permitted. If you are in need of light snacks or refreshments the Riverside Refreshments concession stand is open during pool hours of operation. The Refreshment stand is subject to operation based on weather conditions.

Pool Passes

Pool Passes can be purchased on site at the NRC Solomons Riverside Aquatics Complex.

All Active Duty Military and their Families are Free of charge for daily pool admission.

Retired Military (E1-E5) - $5 per person
Retired Military (E6 & Above) - $6 per person
Retired Military Daily Family Rate - $10 per family per day
Military Guests - $7 per person
DoD Civilian - $7 per person
DoD Guests - $8 per person


Retired Military (E1-E5) - $90 Monthly  |  $187 Season
Retired Military (E6 & Above) - $100 Monthly  |  $200 Season
DoD Civilian - $125 Monthly  |  $280 Season

Navy Youth Swim License Eligibility

To attain full access to the Aquatics facility, all youth ages 17 and under must successfully pass the Navy Youth Swim Test. Upon completion of the swim test, the patron will be required to wear a wristband. There is a weight restriction on the slide. Learn more.

Pool Parties

Why not have your next party at the pool? Parties may be scheduled from 7:30-9:30 p.m. any day of the week for up to 75 guests starting May 23. Want to extend the party? Parties may be extended for an extra hour for a minimal fee.

Reservations are required and can be made at the Aquatics Complex 410-326-6867 or by calling the Assistant Recreation Director at 410-326-2840. A guest list is required 72 hours prior to the event.

Adult Fitness Swim  

Available to age 18 year and older Tuesday through Friday from 11 a.m. to noon. Fitness swim is free to active-duty, reserve and retired military persons. The fee for all other personnel is the regular Aquatics Complex admission price. Active-duty who are interested in Fitness Swimming outside of the designated timeframe are eligible at no cost.

Navy Fitness: Making A Splash In Aquatic Safety!

Through SPLASH, Navy Fitness strives to educate parents and youth on pool safety and the dangers associated with unsupervised swimming. With structured swim lessons, professional swim skills assessment, safe play, and active parental supervision, the risk of accidental drowning can be significantly reduced.

To attain full access to the Aquatics facility, including slides, diving board, and other recreational activities, all youths 17 and under must successfully pass the Navy Youth Swim Test. Contact your local Aquatics program to schedule a swim test.
