Free Events Offered in January for Spiritual Readiness Month

The Religious Ministry Team at NAS Patuxent River, in cooperation with the Fleet & Family Support Center and MWR, is offering  opportunities for spiritual growth in January in conjunction with Spiritual Readiness Month. 

The offerings are free and open to all with base access.

 

 

Warrior Toughness Tri-Challenge: “Test Your Grit: Body. Mind. Spirit.”

  • Jan. 16, 9-11 a.m. 
  • Drill Hall
  • This holistic resilience event is designed to test and strengthen a participant’s body, mind and spirit. Through physical challenges, mental problem-solving and reflective or values-based activities, participants build comprehensive toughness that enhances readiness, composure under stress and overall resilience in demanding environments.

Spiritual Readiness Symposium: “Train Tough. Think Sharp. Live Ready.”

  • Jan. 21, 8:30 a.m.-3 p.m. 
  • Building 401
  • Participate in a full day of training, insight and practical tools to build holistic toughness and resilience. Key content areas include:
    • Body: Physical Toughness (fitness, recovery, performance)
    • Mind: Mental Toughness (resilience, focus, stress management)
    • Soul: Spiritual Toughness (purpose, values, meaning)

Family Fun Day & Bounce-A-Palooza 

  • Jan. 31, 11 a.m.-1 p.m.
  • Drill Hall
  • We will strengthen spiritual well-being by bringing families and the community together in joy, gratitude and connection with a fun and free event featuring bounce houses, community resources, movie and food (while supplies last)!
