Morale, Welfare and Recreation at NAS Patuxent River / NRC Solomons has announced Robert Hooper as Employee of the Year and Joan Buck as Supervisor of the Year for FY2023.
The NAS Patuxent River Rassieur Youth Center is seeking volunteers for its annual "Santa's Calling" holiday program, held Dec. 12-13, to place phone calls to children as "Santa" or one of his elves.
The Fleet & Family Support Center offers a variety of free workshops, classes and events every month that are available to all with base access. Classes offered the week of Nov. 27 include "Building Healthy Relationships," "New Spouse Orientation" and "Tackling the Lonely Season."
The Liberty Center will serve a free Thanksgiving meal at the Barracks lobby to all E1-E6 Active Duty living in the Barracks or on duty on Thanksgiving Day.

The Pax River community is invited to the annual Tree Lighting event on Friday, Dec. 1 from 5-8 p.m. at the Community Recreation Office on Cedar Point Road. The free event will feature Santa's arrival via helicopter, an "iceless" skating rink, crafts and more!
